Mothers' Day Weekend to the first Saturday of November |
Main SeasonLasting approximately 26 weeks from Mother's Day Weekend to the first Saturday of November, the Main Season at the Horton Farmers' Market is more than an opportunity to stock up on local flavours.
With live music, brightly painted picnic tables and patio umbrellas ready for your morning, meet up with friends and family - enjoy a hot breakfast made onsite and a cup of locally roasted coffee or enjoy a special treat...or two...or three - we certainly aren't going to judge! The Main Season is an indoor and outdoor market offering a stable base of vendors joining week to week - you'll find your favourites - along with a rotation of other local businesses to ensure that there is always something new to see and discover, from seasonal produce changes to hand made artisanal goods. Join in the weekly celebration of local! |
Beginning in 2023, through consultation with our vendors, we took on an experiment and added in an Indoor Winter season market.
This scaled-back version of our main season puts the focus on farms with products available all year long - think cozy winter meats, creamy, comforting dairy, honey, and preserves alongside a hot breakfast offering, a selection of local artisans and a laid-back feel for the "regulars." However, new visitors are always welcome to have a little sleep in and join the market fun with a slightly later start time offering the option should the weather outside be frightful. |

The Third Saturday of November |
The Horton Christmas MarketThe Horton Christmas Market is a must-attend for many as a kick-off to the St. Thomas and Elgin County holiday season. This one day holiday extravaganza can feature upwards of 100 vendors - just like our other markets, they are all local farmers, makers, bakers, and more.
The market bustles with Christmas cheer with special guests, live music throughout the day, activities for kids, and fire pits to keep things cozy. Your local loving heart might grow a few sizes as you take it all in. Bundle up because November in Canada can be a bit chilly, but this magical opportunity to feel like you've been plunked into the middle of a Holiday Movie is worth it - because every dollar you spend locally is a gift that keeps on giving! |
