Edible Acres
Edible Acres is a small family run farm located just east of London Ontario. Here we focus on growing a large variety of produce, with the focus on heirloom varieties using only organic seed. The majority of our produce goes out to our CSA customers, but also have seasonable produce available in our farm-gate store and at the local farmers' market. We also have free run chickens that are raised with GMO free feed, that give us a fresh supply of eggs that we are able to share with our friends, family and community. We raise a small flock of sheep that provide us with not only lamb, but a great source of fertilizer for our gardens. The newest additions to our farm include KuneKune Pigs and some busy Honeybees.
Other items that you will find at our farm-gate store include a selection of our homemade preserves. Come on by and see what's growing.

Harris Flower Farm & Pastured Pork*
Harris Flower Farm is a multi generational family operation. The operation originated with Janis & Mark Harris. Their young children (Cameron 9, Nathan 7 & Megan 4) have been born into the business of flowers. The children can be found in the flower fields along side Mom & Dad. They are known at the markets because they never miss a Saturday morning.
Janis’s parents Cathy & Gary are ‘slowing down’ their very successful organic vegetable, egg, chicken and beef operation and are eager to help and learn the flower business with Janis & Mark. Many of the previous vegetable greenhouses and fields now are the home to many varieties of flowers.
Lisa & Melissa (Janis’s sister & sister-in-law) are eager to move home from ‘the big city’ to be part of the flower farming business. Lisa was trained as a florist and will be doing creative on the spot arranging at the markets. They also will be growing the succulent division of the farming operation.

Janssens Farm
The Janssens Farm, family-owned and operated, was founded in 1984. We are well known for our high quality fruits and vegetables grown at our farm which is located in Appin, Ontario which is 40 minutes from London, ON, 50 minutes from Sarnia, ON, 1 hour and 40 minutes from Windsor, ON and 2 hours and 15 minutes from Toronto, ON. We currently grow over 45 different fruits and vegetables! In addition to growing all these vegetables, we attend 8 different farmers markets during the summer months to market our crops. We are always looking for new ways to improve the quality of our fruits and vegetables, so in 2010, we constructed 1.3 acres of high tunnels. This has vastly improved the quality of our produce, lowered the use of pesticides, increased our yields, nutritional value of our crops and increased the flavour of the crops we grow! Quality and service is our motto. We not only try to meet, but to exceed the expectations of our customers.

Josie’s Plants & Produce
Back in the 70s my family was a vendor at the Horton Market. My dad, John Bakker, was a well-known supplier of bedding plants and I seem to unintentionally be following in his footsteps.
What started out as a means to stay at home with my young children and also contribute financially to the household has become a thriving small business. I personally start and transplant every single plant that I sell – I do not have anyone on my staff besides me. Yes, I do it all and it keeps me very busy at times, but I thoroughly enjoy the peacefulness, warmth and particularly the smell of growing plants. My husband of 27 years, Perry, has supported and encouraged my career choice even when I doubted my abilities. We agreed that what was best for our family was for me to work at home and raise our children ourselves. My three daughters have all left the nest now, but I still find myself in this career which has fulfilled me and nourished my children’s need for their mother emotionally and financially. I do not regret not entering the workforce, and can truthfully say that I wouldn’t change a thing. I have the best of both worlds – being a stay-at-home mom but still earning a living. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Orchard Hill Farm
We’re passionate about food here at Orchard Hill, and our vegetables showcase that passion. We grow all of your food without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides and with a focus on the health of the soil. We farm with horses and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. We search out the most flavourful varieties of vegetables because we focus on the taste of the produce rather than the size, shape and shelf life!
